The Rev. Jesse Jackson came to Portland Feb. 16 in response to the Jan. 29 shooting of Aaron Campbell by Portland Police. After meeting with Mayor Sam Adams and Police Commissioner Dan Saltzman, Jackson spoke with the media at Maranatha Church in Northeast Portland with Campbell’s mother, Marva Davis, by his side. After the press conference Jackson led a rally in the packed church.
